A Response to Burning Bright's "Scare Event"

Well, this is my very first Substack. Who knows where this might lead, but I have something to share that is weighing heavily on me. So thanks for being along for the ride!

I woke up in early January 2020 through the Warroom: Impeachment broadcasts. In the first week of January that year I learned about the virus that was sweeping through a Chinese town I’d never heard of: Wuhan.

I spent $600 at Costco on January 24, 2020, as I prep shopped, because I knew the threat was real. (As I rolled the flatbed cart up to the cashier, she asked, “Having a party?” My response: “Kind of.”) It took two Costco workers to help me load everything into my Honda SUV!

And since that time, I haven’t stopped learning. Discerning. Digging. Ruminating. Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

What a GREAT time to be ALIVE!

I found Patel Patriot almost as soon as he appeared on the scene. Devolution makes TOTAL sense to me. And Patel’s consistent “pulling on the threads” of the narratives swirling around us is both fascinating and encouraging.

The way you, Chris, Kate, Just Human, Burning Bright, Richard, and Patrick complement one another creates very engaging and enlightening conversation.

I found Burning Bright through Patel. What an interesting guy. The other night, I heard Patrick read BB’s “Scare Event” article. Very well thought out. Insightful. Compelling.

Burning Bright, I want to go one step further with your thoughts about the “Scare Event.”

From his article:

“In essence, a true Scare Event must tap into the root of fear—that being fear of death for oneself or loved ones, for surely nothing is as unifying a motivation for all human beings, from the bitter atheist to the repentant theist. Fear for oneself or for one’s family. Fear of ending.” ✅ CHECK.

“It must be frightening.” ✅ CHECK.

“It must be all-consuming. Inescapable. Impossible to ignore.” ✅ CHECK.

“It must be immediate. The threat of any engineered Scare Event must be so immediate, so ‘real,’ and so jarring that it reaches peak psychological mass in a small window of time.” ✅ CHECK.

“It must be unifying.” ✅ CHECK.

Well, kind of.

Burning Bright posits that a Nuclear Threat fits the “unifying” bill for the “scare event.” After discussing the ways in which 9/11 unified the world, he says, “But a Nuclear Threat? That, in my view encompasses the whole spectrum, and meets all four criteria in the Fear Template at once.”

There’s a hole that I can’t help but see.

Would a Nuclear Threat really be a “unifying” scare event?

I’ve been trying to figure out how every human being on the planet could be affected ALL AT ONCE by the threat of multiple nuclear bombs. That would take hundreds or even thousands of nuclear bombs? How would everyone in the WORLD “see” the threat in order to be traumatized by the event ALL AT ONCE? How would they ALL “feel” the immediacy of the imminent threat? How could they all walk away from a nuclear scare event, ALL having had the very same (or at least very similar) experiences to unify humanity?

I thought of the scene from the 1983 War Games movie where the computer takes over after asking, “Would you like to play a game?” As Matthew Broderick’s character, David, tries to find a game to play with the computer that will stop it from searching for true nuclear codes, he lands on the idea of playing Tic-Tac-Toe with the computer. After the computer realizes that Tic-Tac-Toe truly can’t be “won,” nuclear bomb scenarios fly across the screens, always with the inevitable conclusions of “WINNER: NONE.” Tensions rise in the viewer, quickly dissipating after “Joshua,” the computer, verbalizes, “A strange game. The only winning move is not to play. How about a nice game of chess?”

The logic for a nuclear threat “scare event” doesn’t come easily to me.

Ponder with me for a moment, instead, this speculation.

Could the “scare event” be a worldwide financial collapse? The nearly simultaneous freezing of every person’s financial holdings and bank accounts? From poor to rich, from the UAE to the United States to Burundi and every country in between?

Every country, no matter how big or small, has currency. It is the common medium of exchange to buy, sell, or earn in each country. Money is universal.

Would a worldwide financial collapse be frightening? ✅ CHECK.

All-consuming? ✅ CHECK.

Immediate? ✅ CHECK.

Unifying? ✅ CHECK.

In America, I think most of us understand that the US Dollar MUST collapse in order for the world to return to sanity. Its ever-decreasing value due to the never-ending hum of the Fed’s printing presses has never been sustainable. America’s financial system is quickly mimicking that of Germany’s Weimar Republic. It’s got to end.

It WILL end.

So many people in this world are wholly focused on money and what money can provide. One might even say that the world is ADDICTED to money. The only way to break that addiction would be to take what is fueling that addiction away.

Would you like a visual idea of what that would look like? James Rickards (American lawyer, economist, investment banker) wrote a compelling Daily Reckoning article back in 2016, “The Ice-Nine Plan.” In it, he explains the Ice-9 principle first invented by writer Kurt Vonnegut then applies it to financial theory.

“It involves a variation of a water molecule a scientist invented. It was different, a variation of water different in one respect: It melted at 114 degrees Fahrenheit, and it was frozen at room temperature. If one molecule of this unusual water came in contact with a regular molecule of water, the regular molecule would turn to ice-9. This happened over and over again, in geometric progression.

“Ice-9 was kept in a vial. But if the vial was opened and one molecule was poured into normal water, all that water would freeze. Then it would spread, and would sweep through the lakes and the rivers and the oceans. And all the water in the world would ultimately freeze.

“Of course, everyone on the Planet Earth would die. It was a doomsday machine, a metaphor for nuclear annihilation. This book came out right around the time of the Cuban Missile Crisis, so it was quite topical.

“In my book, I take that metaphor of ice-9 and apply it to the financial system. The point I make is that one part of the financial system cannot be shut down in isolation. A contagion beginning in one part spreads to the entire system. That’s because the minute one part shuts down, everybody runs for a different part in a quest to get their money back.

“It speaks to the best description I’ve ever heard of a financial panic: everybody wants their money back at once.

“The process soon grows out of control. Everyone sells stocks, sells bonds, sells real estate, sells everything. They all want their money back at once. Of course, people think they can get their money back. But they can’t. They’ll discover that what they actually have are stocks, bonds, and real estate, and money markets, so called, and they can’t get their money back.

“Imagine the money market funds are shut down. No one can get their money out of them. Then everyone runs to the banks to get their money. But the banks are closed. Then, everyone tries to sell their stocks, but the stock market’s shut down. And so on. In other words, the minute one part of the system shuts, all of the demand for liquidity moves to another part. But it dries up. And that part of the system has to be shut that down, too. Soon the entire system is shut down because it’s all so deeply interconnected. That’s where the ice-9 metaphor comes in because it’s not just one water molecule turning to ice. All the water in the world turns to ice because it’s all connected.”

Friends, IMO the only way to fully and finally collapse the cabal that has held the world in its grubby, evil clutches for centuries is to dry up the money supply worldwide and replace it with a new system.

Corrupt organizations will be left high and dry, with no way to continue their criminal endeavors. The bloodline families will be left with nothing (and will be HAPPY!) Money will no longer be available to fuel evil.

The only way to help humans who have an addiction to money is to take it away. Abruptly. Completely. Forever.

As the apostle Paul said in 1 Timothy:

• Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. (1 Timothy 6: 9-10)

• Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life. (1 Timothy 6: 17-19)

So what’s on the other side of worldwide financial collapse?

BRICS members have been meeting since 2009. In 2022, we’ve been watching dozens of countries joining the BRICS movement to asset-based currency. IMO we’re watching the birth of a new monetary system right before our eyes.
